THE RESIDENCES AT BULLE ROCK NAMED BALTIMORE AREA’S TOP SELLING PLANNED COMMUNITY

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. (Apr. 11, 2006)Not only is The Residences at Bulle Rock known for being a resort-style community “Where Life Imitates Vacation,” it also has become the Baltimore-area’s #1 selling planned community, according to statistics from Hanley-Wood Market Intelligence, a provider of market information and business advice to the residential development industry.

Being built around the five-star Bulle Rock Golf Course (home of the McDonald’s LPGA Championship) in Havre de Grace, the 2,000+ home community sold 322 homes in its first sales year. To date, 126 families have moved in.

“Our first year of sales exceeded all our expectations, and so far, year two is translating into a 15 percent increase,” said Brenda Desjardins, a spokeswoman for the community.

As an age-targeted community, primarily drawing buyers 45 to 60, The Residences at Bulle Rock is the only market-rate community with first-floor owner’s suites and laundry rooms in all home types, including condos, villas and single-family homes.  

Built by Clark Turner, D.R. Horton, NVHomes, Ryan Homes and Ryland Homes (and coming soon, Bozzuto Homes), all homes at The Residences at Bulle Rock feature open floor plans, vaulted ceilings, garages and other amenities for maintenance-free living.

A 37,000-square-foot Community Center is now under construction to be the development’s social and recreational centerpiece. The upper level will feature billiards room, ballroom, “wi-fi” cyber café, and meeting rooms.  A professionally-managed cardiovascular health and fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment will occupy the ground floor. It will comprise an aerobics studio, equipment room, sauna, steam room and golf training room.  When residents finish working up a sweat, they can soak in the indoor pool, relax in the massage rooms or quench their thirst in the juice bar. Additional amenities include an outdoor pool, putting green, and bocce and tennis courts.

To introduce visitors to the development, The Residences at Bulle Rock offers a Welcome Center, with maps and 3-D models of the development and of the Community Center. Furthermore, most of the builders have opened their model homes, which are open for daily tours.
