THE RESIDENCES AT BULLE ROCK WINS MAX AWARDS

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. (June 5, 2006) – The Residences at Bulle Rock, the area's #1 selling planned community, received several honors at the recent Maryland Awards of Excellence (MAX) ceremony held by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Home Builders Association of Maryland.

"These awards recognize our top-notch developer, builder and sales teams," said Brenda Desjardins, a spokeswoman for the community.  "It is a joint collaboration to make Bulle Rock such a desirable residential community 'Where Life Imitates Vacation.'"

OUTSTANDING MARKETING-BUILDERS
The Residences at Bulle Rock received the "OUTSTANDING SALES CENTER" award.  Its Welcome Center is located in Mount Pleasant II, an 18th century Georgian mansion with a breathtaking 180-degree view of the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay.

The Welcome Center previously won the Havre de Grace Historic Preservation Commission Award in the Commercial Building Category.  Occupying an entire room is a 3-D topographic model illustrating the entire layout of the 1,000-acre community and the championship Bulle Rock golf course it overlooks.  (The 108-inch x 108-inch octagonal model was built in two pieces and installed on site, after doors were removed to allow for delivery.)

Additionally, the Welcome Center offers community views and highlights - both in pictures and in a brief program shown on a large plasma television screen.  Also on display are 3-D models and fabric swatches of its 37,000-square-foot Community Center, which will become the development's social and recreational centerpiece.  Compass Rose Design of New Jersey provided the merchandising, while Merrick Towle Communications of Beltsville, Md. provided the advertising and displays.

Instead of occupying sales trailers while their models were under construction, Bulle Rock's builders Clark Turner, D.R. Horton, NVHomes, Ryan Homes and Ryland Homes chose to occupy a centralized location: the Welcome Center's upper level.

The concept proved successful.  The Welcome Center team, employed by the developers, demonstrated the site, location and community amenities, and sent educated prospects to the individual builders.  The builders' sales teams then conveyed the features of their individual products.  This resulted in 300+ sales in calendar year 2005, with the majority of those sales in a pre-sale situation.

OUTSTANDING HOMES
Clark Turner Homes earned the Award of Excellence -Large Volume Builder $1 Million & Over - for its Triple Crown model.  The three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath courtyard homes contain a separate two-story library, a large laundry/hobby room, covered porch and an interior courtyard that brings the joy of outside living inside.

Clark Turner also received the Award of Excellence - Active Adult-Detached $700,000 & Over - for its Exacta model.  This three-bedroom rancher features an island kitchen with solarium morning room overlooking a courtyard, which enables a tailored outdoor living space.  A separate den and formal dining areas are intensely detailed with special moldings.

OUTSTANDING MODEL HOME MERCHANDISING
Clark Turner also won the Award of Excellence -Outstanding Model Home Merchandising: $1 Million & Over for the Triple Crown model and the Outstanding Merchandising: Active Adult-Detached for the Exacta model.

Tracy Penrose from Ryan Homes received the Multifamily Home Sales Award, while Korin Frye from Ryland Homes received the Overall Sales Excellence Award, as well as the Townhome Sales Award.
