Residential home builder Clark Turner has sold 70 of his 150 villa-style homes at The Residences at Bulle Rock, with units starting at $422,000 and $488,000.
It's an indication there are still strengths in what many real estate brokers have considered to be a more normalized housing market.
According to data from Metropolitan Regional Information Systems Inc., the median price for a home sold in Harford County in December was $246,777, which was about a half percent down from December 2005. There are 208 homes priced between $400,000 and $499,999 listed for sale in the county, according to MRIS data.
In addition to the 70 homes that have been sold, Turner has also closed on another 40 villa homes in the golf course development anchored by the Bulle Rock Golf Course, according to a release. The golf course is home to the LPGA Championship.
Bulle Rock is a mixed-use development being developed in Havre de Grace that will ultimately include 2,000 single-family, villa and condominium homes. Bulle Rock is being developed jointly by Turner, Manekin LLC and H & S Development Corp. The residential portion is being built by Turner, D.R. Horton, NVHomes, Ryan Homes and Ryland Homes.
